Status of this Pattern Language

Quick Version

The HTML Pattern Language presented here hasn't been updated in quite some time, and it probably won't be again, unless someone wants to take it over. If you do, please let me know.

Longer Version

I started this HTML Pattern Language as an experiment. Now, a year later, I realize I haven't touched it in nine months. Why? I guess I lost interest; it was fun, but I don't want to spend the necessary time to support it. And HTML (and the Web itself) change quickly; keeping up with the changes for a pattern language document would require way too much work.

But: this document is still accessed a lot, and I still get a letter or so a week asking questions about it. So if someone wants to take it over, either on this server or another, just let me know. I warn you: you'd better be both an HTML and a Pattern Language fanatic. This requires a LOT of work.

A few last things: I presented a paper version of this document at PLoP '95, and the proceedings of the conference will be published by Addison-Wesley in June '96.
